Booking and Registration
Parents must complete our online registration record before their child can attend the club
Once a place has been taken at Wizz Kids 30 days written notice is required to alter the pattern of attendance or to leave the club. Changes of attendance are not guaranteed and may only be offered if your preferred new pattern of attendance is available. If we cannot accommodate your request to increase or change sessions, then we can put you on our waiting list or you may wish to terminate the booking giving 30 days notice. Decreases to your booking require 30 days notice.
Fees and Financial
On going fees are payable in advance by Direct Debit, Childcare Voucher or Government Scheme by the first day of the month. Late payment charges of £25 will be incurred after the first.
Fees are calculated monthly and payable on a calendar month basis.
Wizz Kids is closed at weekends, Bank Holidays, sixth week in the summer holidays and the Christmas half term.
Parents are not charged for Bank Holidays
School Holidays are not included in the calculation of monthly fees
For new starters at Wizz Kids the first months fees must be paid at the time of booking to secure your child’s place
Fees are reviewed once per year normally between May- July. Any changes to the fee rates will be notified 60 days in advance.
Parents are responsible for managing their invoices online
Extra sessions are payable on the day by Direct Debit
We are unable to refund fees for sessions not used due to illness, absence or where Wizz Kids is forced to close due to circumstances beyond our control
Inset days and other school closures are still payable
Wizz Kids has a minimum booking requirement to attend either Breakfast Club or After School Club the two sessions cannot be spread across the two. Bookings must be for the same sessions each week. It is not possible to swap days, so that for example, a normally booked Thursday is swapped for a Friday on a one of off or temporary basis. Additional days can be accepted as a chargeable extra and subject to availability.
Due to staffing and recourses requirements as laid down by Ofsted, children who are collected after the agreed time (6:00pm) will incur a late collection charge. A late collection charge of £15 for any collection between 6:01pm - 6:10pm £5 for each subsequent 10 minutes after 6:10pm will be added to your next monthly invoice.
Termination and Suspension of Childcare Services
We reserve the right to end this agreement with immediate effect if (1) you have not paid the agreed fees (2) you have breached your obligations under this agreement and you have or cannot put right that breach within a reasonable period of being requested to do so (3) your child’s behaviour is unacceptable or endanger the safety and well-being of any of the other children or staff within the club (4) financial, business or commercial reasons compel us to radically change the nature of the clubs operations, including but not limited to permanent closure of the club, change of childcare services, re registration of child numbers, changes to the registration and booking policy. Naturally, we will provide as much notice as possible given any of these events.
We may suspend the provision of childcare for any of the above reasons and in addition
Health, Safety and Absence
It is understood that Wizz Kids is under an obligation to report to the appropriate authorities any incidents where we consider a child may have been abused, neglected or in some other way harmed either physically or emotionally, this may be done without informing the parent or carer, in accordance with our safeguarding Children Policy.
In fairness to all our staff, parents and children that use our facilities we expect reasonable standards of behaviour at all times. We therefore reserve the right to exclude any child whose conduct is, in our opinion, disruptive or in any other way unacceptable to the smooth and efficient running of our club. We ask all parents/carers to appreciate this and to understand that, in the event of having to exclude any child all fees are non-refundable.
Wizz Kids Breakfast and Snacks are prepared on site with consideration to provide a well balanced diet. Vegetarians and special dietary requirements are catered for. Please ensure you keep us notified about your child’s dietary needs and preferences.
We reserve the right to administer basic first aid and treatment when necessary. Parents will be informed of all accidents and will be required to sign an accident form when collecting the child. For accidents of a more serious nature, involving hospital treatment, all attempts will be made by Sue Jarman to contact the parents but failing this, we are hereby authorised to act on behalf of parents to consent to necessary treatment from a suitably qualified medical source. We will administer prescribed medicines if parents complete a ‘Medicine Consent’ form.
We may require parents to withdraw their child from the Club, in the event that they require special medical care or attention, which is not available or refused by parents or it is considered that the child is not well enough to attend Wizz Kids. We may also ask parents to withdraw their child from Club, if we have reasonable cause to believe that they are or maybe suffering from or have suffered from any contagious disease/infection and there remains a danger that other children at the Club may contract such a disease/infection. We accept no responsibility for children contracting contagious diseases/infections whilst at Club; however, we will publish infection notices in the Club door to keep you informed. Parents are requested to inform the Wizz Kids if their child is suffering from any illness or sickness before attending the club.
It is mandatory for parents to inform Wizz Kids of any food, medicine, activity or any other circumstances that may cause the child to have an allergic reaction/ allergy. Parents must provide details, in writing, of the severity of the reaction/ allergy and must continue to inform Wizz Kids of any changes/progress to the condition, in writing, when they become aware. Parents are requested to inform Wizz Kids of any changes to key information.
Children who are unwell should not attend the Club. Children who have suffered from sickness or diarrhea will not be admitted back to Nursery within 48 hours after the last bout. If children fall ill during the session parents will be contacted to arrange to collection. If the parents are unavailable other authorised contacts will be called.
Wizz Kids acknowledges its duty of care to uphold the Statutory Guidance issued under section 29 of the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015, the central function of which is to take due regard to our role in assisting the prevention of adults and children in our care from being drawn into terrorism or radicalisation
All staff are checked on commencement with Wizz Kids through the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure there are no safeguarding issues of which we need to be aware. Suitable person checks also include but are not limited to identity verification, qualification checks, personal and employment references, medical checks and where applicable visas or permits to work in the UK.
Security and Publicity
We regularly photograph the children partaking in activities. Imagery is never published without the consent of the parent or carer. Our guidelines are as follows (1) Photographs in the Club are only taken with Wizz Kids cameras or authorised devices (2) Staff mobile phones with or without cameras are not allowed in the playrooms or outside area. (3) Photographs are vetted for suitability before being printed or published. (4) All children are dressed appropriately before pictures are taken. (5) Parents are requested not to use their mobile phones within Wizz Kids premises. If you do not wish your child to be photographed please inform Wizz Kids in writing.
If your child is going to be collected by someone other than yourself the Clubs staff will require prior notification and an agreed password. It is the responsibility of parents to keep us informed of any changes in contact numbers.
Under no circumstances will the child be allowed to leave Wizz Kids with anyone unknown to the staff unless the parent or carer has previously arranged this. If the parent / carer has made alternative arrangements by telephone or text Wizz Kids will require the name, telephone number of the person permitted to collect the child. A list of responsible adults who are authorised to collect the child should be noted on the child’s registration record.
Your acceptance of our terms is initiated at the booking and registration stage. Whilst this agreement naturally has legal implications, we always act with fairness and take into account specific circumstances before making decisions. The success of your child’s time here at Wizz Kids is dependent on the partnership between the Club and our parents and carers.
